Position Overview
The Pricing Manager will be responsible for PCB costing calculation by understanding the full PCB process and ensuring accurate cost calculation. This role will serve as the primary liaison between the production team, spec team, and process engineer team. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and experience in cost calculation.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Lead the PCB costing/pricing activity.
2. Collaborate with production, the engineer, and the planning team to review technical drawings (Gerber files, BOMs), and real costing.
3. Manage and coordinate internal teams (PCB design engineering, production scheduling to monitor the costing accuracy routinely.
4. Conduct regular project meetings to track historic costing performance: estimated cost and actual cost.
5. Provide timely updates on any cost deviations from the quotations.
6. Monitor all PCB manufacturing processes and improve the efficiency continously.
7. Identify potential costing risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address risks to minimize their impact on total costing.
8. Maintain accurate costing records and analyze regularly.
9. Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices, streamline workflows, and enhance plant efficiency.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3-5 years of PCB costing experience in the PCB manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of PCB costing activity.
3. Deep knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.
4. Proficiency in project management tools and ERP systems used in manufacturing.
5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to use various kinds of costing software.
6. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong client relationships.
7. Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
