PURPOSE OF THE JOB
1. Contribute to the development and support of customers in the field of services.
2. Increase and extend knowledge and expertise in this field and provide support for all customers and teams.
3. Contribute to continuous improvement of services.
4. Pilot projects related to this field of expertise.
5. Report to the APAC DTS Director.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
– Program and project management :
1. Manage projects to develop new services (including kibble development) and ensure a continuous technological survey to optimize and maximize performance of palatability solutions. From initiation to launch, follow steps and key milestones to achieve the deliverables, taking into account the state of the art in the area of expertise and through the knowledge of competitors and customers.
2. Manage technical support request projects to support the launch of new solutions or any customer needs.
3. Prepare documentation for technical support report and presentation for customer presentation.
4. Define with marketing an offer of technical solutions to answer market expectations: technical advices, customer visits, plant audit, diagnostic with action plan follow up.

– Technical petfood expertise :
1. Build services technical database in line with sales and marketing team. Collect APAC data with local team, and with previous visits and consolidate petfood expertise. Analyze data and propose improvements for customers and share conclusions with R&D and marketing team to nurture innovation and market trends.
2. Provide specific expertise in larger innovation projects (including other business lines).
3. Ensure technical services for customers (visits, presentations…) in order to perform the services and anticipate their future services needs.

– Communication / Scientific network / Cross functionality :
1. Communicate on progress and consolidate know-how and knowledge of the expertise. Promote knowledge and results. Presents – or makes expert team present – results to stakeholders : partners, customers, and internally.
2. Constitute a scientific and technical network of experts in the area of expertise, and develop partnerships. Participate to congress, propose and present thematics.
3. Animate Application community : share and exchange our application knowledge with other regions through communication by regular conference call. Ensure training of technical expert in the different areas and sales and marketing team. Work preferably in interaction with marketing, sales, regions and customers and with other departments to achieve project success. Transversal management with R&D team members, and other departments.
4. Carry out any related activities needed for the function.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Scientific background in food chemistry, food processing or related fields.
2. Creativity, problem solving & agility skills aiming at mutual success for PAL BL and customers.
3. Technical knowledge on petfood products, palatability enhancers, palatability drivers, application and scientific networking.
4. Good organization and project management skills.
5. Ability to work in a Matrix organisation.
6. Ability to efficiently work with internal and external stakeholders.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. Full professional ability in English and Chinese (Speaking, reading, writing).
2. Ability to travel (30% of the workload) – position based in China.
