Position Overview
1. The Quality Manager will be responsible for Quality Management System(QMS) setup. The Quality Manager will lead and enhance the quality systems of our PCB manufacturing operations in Vietnam. The quality manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with Tier-1 OEM customer requirements, driving continuous improvement, and establishing robust quality processes across IQC, IPQC, and OQA.
2. This role will serve as the primary liaison between production, engineering, quality control, procurement and suppliers, driving cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues and deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, strong project management skills, and a customer-centric mindset.
3. The ideal candidate has proven experience in PCB manufacturing, has successfully supported audits from leading OEM customers, and is well-versed in IATF 16949 quality management systems.
Role and Responsibilities:
Quality System Management
1. Establish, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
2. Drive standardization of quality processes across Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), and Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA). Ensure full compliance with international standards and internal procedures.
Customer Audit & Compliance
1. Lead and support customer audits from Tier-1 OEMs (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia).
2. Ensure audit readiness, documentation control, and effective closure of audit findings.
3. Act as the primary interface with customers on all quality-related topics.
Process Quality & Control
1. Develop and deploy process control plans, inspection standards, and quality criteria.
2. Monitor key quality metrics (FPY, yield, defect rate, COPQ) and drive improvement initiatives.
3. Implement risk management tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, and SPC.
Supplier Quality Management
1. Establish and manage supplier quality systems, including qualification and performance monitoring.
2. Drive incoming material quality improvements and supplier audits.
3. Ensure alignment of suppliers with company and customer quality standards.
Continuous Improvement
1. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).
3. Promote a culture of quality and accountability across the organization.
4. Build, lead, and develop the QA team (IQC, IPQC, OQA).
5. Provide training and coaching to enhance technical and quality capabilities.
6. Foster cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain Qualifications
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics, or related field Experience.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB manufacturing quality management.
3. Proven experience handling Tier-1 OEM audits (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia).
4. Strong experience in implementing and maintaining IATF 16949 certification.
5. Hands-on experience in setting up and managing IQC, IPQC, and OQA systems in a PCB plant Technical Skills.
6. Deep understanding of PCB processes (lamination, drilling, plating, imaging, etc.).
7. Familiar with quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, 8D.
8. Strong knowledge of reliability testing (CAF, thermal cycling, IST, etc.).
9. Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
10. Excellent communication skills in English.
